Edtech 50 Schools 2025 explore how to approach pupil learning in new ways and use assistive technology for all. Some schools also report that technology enables them to re-design learning in a much more focused way around pupil needs. 

As ever, these schools are making the sensible case that technology if used well and coherently, can be of real benefit to education, pupils and teachers.

A confident school that uses education technology with purpose, is better able to harness the potential of Artificial Intelligence and put in place positive measures around safety and digital literacy.  

Many of these schools are pioneers, but talk of their practice with humility, in an education system or an inspection culture, that has not always understood education technology. 

It is also important to acknowledge the generosity of Edtech 50 schools who share their learning and practice to benefit all schools. 

As ever, leadership in schools is key. Fostering teacher development and confidence is vital, as is listening to pupils about their own learning.
