Edtech UK Hubs create a community of practice for those working with education technologies and supporting digital skills.

Edtech Hubs

EdTech UK and LGfL are working in partnership to develop communities of practice that provide peer-to-peer support for the effective use of technology for enhancing teaching and learning in schools and colleges.

These national hubs and professional development events and materials ensure effective adoption and use of education technology.

The EdTech Hubs programme was created in late 2021 as a positive response to the DfE funded EdTech Demonstrator programme which EdTech UK and LGfL led as an emergency national response for schools.

  • Did educators overcome the 'fear factor' when it came to education technology during remote teaching and learning?

  • Does it point to new forms of professional development - more bitesize and more responsive? How can the national teacher and leadership professional qualificationsTeaching School Hubs and Early Career Framework reflect these changes?

  • What are the 'covid-keepers' for schools and colleges?  What new things, tried for the first time, will become crucial parts of practice and institutions going forward?
